Crusty Noses

Q: One thing I've noticed is that both Muncie and Tippy have crusty noses. On the top of the nose, not the nasal cavity. Ginger does not. Any clue as to what is going on? Could it be from pushing through the dog doors?

A: That is strange. Some dogs do and some do not. I think it has to do with the shape of their muzzles and how they eat. Some dogs push their faces down into tohe food bowl and others do not. For the ones that do I try to keep a little vaseline on the top of the nose so nothing sticks there.
