I bathe the house dogs each week.

  1. Put the Shar-Pei in the bath tub.
  2. Have a collar on the dog and a leash tied to soap dish. This will keep your hands free while preventing the dog from jumping out.
  3. Put a couple of drops of mineral oil in each eye to protect against the soap.
  4. Wet the dog with warm water and apply good quality shampoo. Any higher quality shampoo will be fine.
  5. Lather and scrub throughly
  6. Allow the lather to sit on the coat for about five minutes.
  7. Rinse and repeat.

"We can't believe how smart he is, he can already sit, shake (paw), speak, crawl and even though he is still little, he is able to use the ramp next to our bed and can open the doggie door to the back yard by himself."
