Vaccinations

I give more vaccinations than most because of my show schedule. Every time I come back from a dog show with over 1500 dogs I can bring in a lot of germs. I give my own shots (except for rabies) and I will provide a shot record with your new puppy.

Baggins Shar-Pei puppies get their first vaccination at six weeks old and another round every three weeks until they are eighteen weeks old or until they join a new family.

The first two rounds are basic puppy shots. The next three are basic plus a booster.

The basic puppy shot protects against canine distemper, hepatitis, corona virus, parainfluenza, parvovirus and respiratory disease caused by adenovirus type 2.

The booster shot includes protection against canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, canine adenovirus type 2, canine coronavirus, canine parainfluenza, canine parvovirus, Leptospira canicola, Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae, Leptospira grippotyphosa and Leptospira pomona.

"We can't believe how smart he is, he can already sit, shake (paw), speak, crawl and even though he is still little, he is able to use the ramp next to our bed and can open the doggie door to the back yard by himself."
